I've been using the amazon mp3 player on my Galaxy (v1...it's old).

the only thing I've had issues with, is I can't find a good podcast app. I've tried various things...they just kinda suck. I know a lot of people use stitcher, but it doesn't work for me. Mainly, I can't stream things where I live and work...the service isn't there.

If I could find a good podcast app, I'd never be tempted by the iphone. I didn't really like it that much, except that it was a great music player.

As it is though, I've been very happy on android  [thumbsup]

aac isn't an apple proprietary format:

i meant the playlists too, but i thought they had tweaked the AAC in some way..

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

If they don't offer the quad core here would it be easy to use a euro one here?

my understanding is that the 4g will not work.  each company uses a different type.  i got a Verizon world phone a while back and with my Tmobile sim it would only connect in 2g.

i meant the playlists too,

1. Open iTunes.
2. Highlight desired playlist
3. Click 'File' tab.
4. Scroll down to 'Library'.
5. Select 'Export Playlist'.
6. Click '.txt' tab and scroll down to '.m3u'.

there you go... "standard" playlist format.

the original itunes music store files had drm, but they've been drm-free since 2009.

This one was a Euro phone, and it was connected to ATT 3g. Can't confirm the use of 4g, or non-use...as we don't have 4g around here.

just reading about it on engadget. They did a little test between the ATT and Sprint spec models. I'm pretty disappointed that it's going to only be dual core, and they're adding the touchwiz UI on it. May go for a Euro, unlocked version if I with a S3.

I still like the Note though. That's my favorite.
